The cooler fall temperatures will soon turn cold as winter approaches and this means it is time for Coats for Kids with PATH (People Attempting To Help). Greg Grubb, Executive Director, said, “Once again, we are collecting coats and donations to purchase coats to make sure every young boy or girl who is going to school has a coat. We want to make sure they are all warm when they are outdoors getting dropped off at school or are walking to school.” Last year, Coats for Kids distributed over 1000 coats. Grubb said, “I expect we will need more this year.” PATH is accepting new coats or “gently used” coats at their headquarters or at any Tyler area dry cleaners. Grubb also talked about the increased number of individuals and families who come in daily for food and other assistance. PATH is located at 402 West Front St. You can learn more online at PathHelps.org or call 903-597-7284.
